Explore our media production facilities
Opened in spring 2020, the Poole Gateway Building on Talbot Campus provides 5,000 square metres of space and is predominantly home to a range of high-quality, professional-level production facilities.
These include two multi-camera TV studios equipped with 4K (Ultra High Definition) cameras, a sound stage, music studios, a screening room, edit suites, sound suites, and a green screen and motion capture studio.
BFX Festival
BFX is the UK’s largest visual effects, computer games and animation festival.
Over the years, it has become established as an international event that inspires both current and future generations of artists, technicians and engineers, and that celebrates all aspects of VFX, animation and games’ unique mix of technical and creative practices.
Staff at Outpost VFX, a global visual effects agency for film and TV, explain the value of being in such close proximity to new talent at BU and the added value they offer graduates as an award-winning global animation player set in a highly desirable coastal location.
