Dr. Mili Shrivastava joined Bournemouth University after completing her Ph.D. from the University of Jena in Germany on a scholarship from the German Science Foundation and the Max Planck Institute of Economics. Professors Uwe Cantner and David Audretsch supervised her dissertation. During her Ph.D., Mili was a visiting researcher at the London School of Economics at STICERD ( Suntory and Toyota International Centre for Economics and Related Disciplines). Before Ph.D. in Germany, Mili studied Mathematics at Miranda House College, Delhi University, and IIT Delhi, specialising in Applied Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence.

Dr. Mili works in the areas of Sustainability, Circular Economy, Green entrepreneurship, Green Strategies, Inclusivity, Women and technology, and Women's enterprise. At Bournemouth University, Mili initiated and co-founded the Centre for Sustainable Business Transformations and currently serves as Deputy Head of the Centre. She has published in leading peer-reviewed ABS-ranked journals, reputed media outlets, and policy evidence.

Dr. Mili organised a Women Entrepreneurs and Innovators conference at Bournemouth University in 2018 that brought together leading academic scholars and practitioners to BU. In 2017-18, she convened the start-up support program for prospective student entrepreneurs at the Bournemouth Business School. Mili led a charity impact project on ethnic women empowerment in 2020 that supported ethnic women's transition to employment and entrepreneurship.

In her current research and professional practice, she works on interdisciplinary academic-industry projects surrounding Sustainability, Circular Economy, Inclusivity, and Gender. Mili also serves on the advisory board of a couple of UK tech companies. Dr. Mili is on the editorial board of Nature Portfolio Journal ``Humanities and Social Sciences Communication'' and the topic editor of Sustainability Journal.

Dr. Mili leads on Hacking for Sustainability Course for final-year undergraduate students that focuses on solving a challenging sustainability problem faced by the Ministry of Defence.

She welcomes inquiries from prospective Ph.D. applicants interested in conducting qualitative or quantitative research surrounding Sustainability, Greening, Gender, and Entrepreneurship.
