How the programme is delivered
This is a part-time, blended learning programme with around 22 months of on-course activities. Apprentices are required to study for 20% of their contractual hours which may include the following types of activities:
- 19 days of face-to-face lectures and workshops
- Online live seminars
- Recorded lectures
- Case studies and discussion boards
- Action learning sets
- Mentoring
- Practical work-based activities
- Self-study
This programme is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and the Chartered Management Institute (CMI).

Entry requirements:
Entry criteria for the SLA is:
- Applicants with a first degree (or equivalent) and at least three years managerial experience or
- At least five years managerial experience for those without a first degree.
International entry requirements:
- If English is not your first language you'll need IELTS (Academic) 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in writing and 5.5 in speaking, listening and reading. For more information see our full entry requirements.
