This qualification is delivered by the Academy of Performance Coaching (part of SportBU). Upon successful completion you will be awarded the Level 2 Certificate in Gym Instructing. The qualification is awarded through ActiveIQ who are endorsed by CIMSPA (Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity).
The blended learning programme allows you to complete most of your theoretical study in your own time (you will need access to a computer with the internet) with attendance at Bournemouth University for practical workshops in our state of the art facilities.

Entry requirements:
This qualification is open to all but a degree of physical fitness is necessary, as well as an understanding of the importance of good communication skills. Some experience of gym-based exercises, including free weights, is highly recommended.
