If you are a BU graduate with a UK-based start-up, find out how our entrepreneurship competition could take your business to the next level.
We have partnered with Santander Universities to give away grants totalling £15,000 to BU alumni. If you studied at BU and have gone on to launch a business which is generating less than £250,000 in revenue and employing fewer than 25 staff, tell us how a one-off grant could help you to grow.
Simply complete our online application, including telling us what the money will be used for in by Friday 28th June. Grant amounts are not fixed (although the fund is designed to support multiple businesses), so make your ask and tell us the difference this money could make for you and your start-up.
Entrepreneurship Grants for BU graduates – apply now
Winners will be chosen by a panel of judges and informed directly after the closing date. Full terms and conditions can be found via the application portal.
Claire’s story
Claire King, BU graduate and Director of The Nutrition Advisory Team, was one of our entrepreneur fund winners last year. She said: “Gaining £2,000 in funding from the BU Graduate Entrepreneurship Grants in 2023 helped move me forward as a business leader. When you're a start-up, gaining funding is not just essential to help make your vision a reality, it is the handshake you need from someone who shouts that they believe in your idea and your capacity to take it to the next step. That statement of commitment means more than the money itself. When you start, your roles are diverse and plentiful, and you are time-poor as well as financially challenged. I am so pleased that I applied as gaining a commitment from Santander spurred me on. I would encourage any graduate entrepreneurs to apply."
